At church with my cousin, Morten on 13 May, 07 (oh ya, and the Murrayville boot too). This is the church that him and Maj-Britt will get married in sometime after they have their baby. I look forward to an invitation:) Hint, hint.
The boot is definitely in Denmark - both in church and in front of a Danish mailbox. Some of you are likely wondering, 'what's with the boot?' Well, my church, Murrayville Community Church, sends boots like this with people who go on missions trips. It's a reminder that the church is praying for them.
The church's motto, Romans 1:16 (written out) and 'Isaiah 40:31' are written on this shoe. The countries the shoes have been in get written on the sole of each shoe. The other shoe that makes up the pair with this one is with Elaine in Taiwan ... where I'll be visiting 4 stops from now. And I am looking forward to taking a picture of the 2 of them together when I arrive there.
Well, at this point in the trip, that's what I think will happen, but when I reach Taiwan, I find out that something has happened to my shoe's sole mate. Keep checking my posts to find out what happened.
A visit to Giesselfelt Gods. I was told that 'Gods' means castle - makes sense with the moat. However, I looked it up and it can also mean estate. Either way, it's a big home with lots of property.I find it intriguing to see how some things can grow in challenging circumstances. Even though the trunk bowed, this tree is reaching for the sun.
This is on the same property too. Beautiful!
And fun to be under the mini-waterfall!
With Maj-Britt back at their place after an eventful day. She's due on 25 August, which is Morten's mom's birthday (hey, I was born on my grandma's birthday, so it would be fun to have that happen again in our generation).
